What to know before you start

Local processing is private and fast

TypeKitty uses WebAssembly to run OCR models directly inside your browser. Your images are never sent to a remote server, ensuring sensitive documents remain entirely on your device.

High accuracy requires more data

The default Tiny model is small and fast, suitable for clear text. Switch to High Accuracy mode to download a larger model that handles complex layouts and challenging fonts more effectively.
